Conservation

I am hoping to inspire others to become stewards of this earth by sharing the beauty of life as seen through my lens.
In an effort to help to protect the environment and its inhabitants, a portion of every sale is donated to a non-profit that either helps to preserve or conserve natural resources, or supports environmental outreach or education. If you know of an organization that you would like to see donations made to, please contact me!

Ethics
I maintain a strong sense of ethics while photographing wildlife and enjoying natural spaces. I always maintain a safe distance from my subjects and make it a priority to avoid disturbing natural behaviors. I use a 400mm telephoto lens, which allows me to get close-up images of my subjects without disturbing them. I never practice baiting or luring, which can be extremely harmful and even lethal to wild animals. I always practice the Leave No Trace principles making sure to "take nothing but pictures, and leave nothing but footprints."
My intentions when shooting are to observe, to learn about, and to capture images of the incredible species that inhabit this planet. I share these images and the knowledge I've gained to inspire and empower others to help protect our planet's species.

Sustainability
As an environmentalist, I try to be as sustainable as possible in all aspects of my life, including in my business. Living sustainably to me means using only what I need, limiting the amount of waste that I create, and trying to have the smallest impact on this planet that I possibly can.
I practice sustainability in my daily life, too, and share the knowledge I have gained and tricks I have learned here on my website and through my social media accounts.
Here are the ways that I try to keep my business sustainable:
- All greeting cards are printed on 100% recycled paper.
- Prints, canvases, and mounted prints are all purchased from a local print shops.
- Many frames used are purchased from thrift and consignment stores.
- Reuse packaging materials for shipping as much material as possible.
